I am married with no children (happily on both counts), I teach high school English by day and read and write and participate in various nerdy pursuits and pop cultural phenomena by night.

  3. I’m with you on all of those counts except that I don’t teach high school English–I occasionally teach community college English. Oh, and I’d like to have kids. And I’m not yet married. Anyway, glad we could connect.

    1. And I as well — I often think I would be better off teaching community college English, but I couldn’t do a Master’s program. And I appreciate the prog, though not always the rock. Just not a Rush fan. Thanks for your writing and for your reading, too.

    Good evening from Ireland. I hope that this finds you well and I’d like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy New Year.

    What would you do if the worst memories of your past came back to haunt you? Would you run or fight them? That’s what happens to two men in my new horror novella, “Unlucky Charm”, which is due for release on February 25th, 2022. Below is its synopsis.

    Darkness Comes From The Most Unexpected Of Places.

    Following the events of, “The Scavenger”, we now find Jared a year later, on a two week break from college. He thought this would be a relaxing visit home, then it happened…something so dark he felt a strange sense of deja-vu.
    Across town we find Reggie Danes and Zane Miller who’ve been friends for over ten years. After Zane purchases an antique pocket-watch, they suddenly find themselves being maliciously taunted by past secrets.
    Now they must band together to vanquish the demons which plague their lives.
    Can life ever return to normal?
    Will the darkness ever disappear?

    I have recently started reading your Damnation Kane series and I’m snickering and laughing out loud every page. What a FANTASTIC story! I’m not far into the first book of three but am hooked and love it.

    I don’t have a lot of time to read but will keep you posted on my final thoughts.

    Thanks for a new, HYSTERICAL, take on the ol’ pirates!

    Line that has stuck with me the most, “Have any of you heard of a heathen god called – Verizon?” LOVE IT. Thanks again for a refreshing read.

I had just as much fun writing them — I couldn’t have been happier than when I thought of the Verizon jokes. It’s very sad for me that people in the future will not understand it the same way when Damnation says, “Can ye hear me now?”
